[ Datadog ] Slack Integration Guide

1. Overview

This is a guide document for Slack Integration in Datadog.

Slack Integration is performed to allow operations personnel to receive notifications of alerts occurring in Datadog through Slack.

The integration process is as follows:

In the Slack tile, select the Configuration Tab and click 'Connect Slack Account'.
Clicking the button will redirect to the Slack Workspace login page.
Enter the Slack Workspace address to be added and select Continue.
For reference, the representative Workspace URL of SK㈜ C&C is skcc1.slack.com. If linking with the company Workspace, a user account in that Workspace is required first.
Enter the account information to be linked with the Slack Workspace and log in.
Once logged in, allowing the integration between Datadog and Slack completes the integration process.

After completing the account linkage, add the channel to receive Datadog information.

Add and save the channel to receive information as shown below.
After integration, only Public channels or channels where the Datadog app (2.2) is added will be displayed.

After completing the integration between Datadog and Slack, go to the channel added under Add Channel in Slack and add the Datadog App.
To add the app, select 'Add App' in the integration menu, and the search screen will appear as shown below. Search for and add Datadog.
- The added screen appears as follows.

In the Monitor, under Configure notifications & automations,
enter @ in the Alert message or click the Add Mention button.
The entire list of channels available for addition will be displayed. Select Slack from the list and then choose a Slack channel.
Alternatively, after @, enter part of the channel name to find it in the list.
Select the displayed list to add.
