Symptom 

An instance was created with a type that uses Intel CPU, but the Architecture information of the instance shows AMD64. 

Cause 

The reason 'AMD64' appears in the instance information display is because 'AMD64' is the general identifier currently used for Windows 64-bit code. [1] 

How to Check 

You can check the actual CPU model of the running instance using the following method (for Windows instances). 

1. Log in to the instance, right-click the 'Windows Logo', and run 'Run'.

2. Enter the command 'msinfo32' and click 'OK'.

3. Detailed 'System Information' will be displayed on the screen.

4. Check the Processor item in the right table to see the processor information directly.
